The Kränzl Gallery, which was opened in 1997 in Göppingen, has had an outlet in Gaienhofen-Horn since 2005, focusing on painting, drawing and graphic arts and prints. The presentations always focus on the exciting dialouge between the different artistics viewpoints. The exhibitions are thus usually twin or group exhibitions. The works always have a link to the works of the co-exhibitor. The dialogue is created on different levels of two positions that are different from one another who surrender to the exhibition room as an aesthetic field of experience and thus find their own solutions.

Courses and overnight accommodation offered
The light and airy halls of a former hosiery factory in Horn on the Höri peninsula form the exceptional setting for art courses lasting several days on western Lake Constance. With its courses, the ‘Art factory’, managed by the artist Beate Bitterwolf and the architect Wolfgang Beyer, offers the chance to develop your own artistic expression in an inspiring environment. It covers a broad range of artistic techniques, ranging from painting to drawing, etching, ceramics to the object and installation. The courses last between three and ten days. They are led by recognised artists who convey their specific techniques and topics in a qualified manner. The former factory building near to the banks of the lake directly adjoins a nature reserve and has a view of the Lower Lake on one side and the old village church in Horn on the other. The courses cost between 180 and 600 euros. There is also the possibility of staying in the art factory. Light, modernly equipped rooms with bathroom and a fine view of the lake are available. It is possible to stay in the art factory overnight, without attending a course.

The well-known artist in the region, Heidi Reubelt gives painting lessons for adults, children and young people - also in cooperation with Gaienhofen Tourist Information. You can also have your portrait painted by her or agree a visit to her atelier/exhibition rooms in the village of Horn.

Susanne Lubach has lived on Lake Constance since 1981 and has examined in depth the topic of painting autodidactically. From 1986 - 1989, she completed a three-year training in painting and graphics with the last pupil of Otto Dix in Hemmenhofen. Regular exhibitions have been offered since 1990. She calls herself a ‘cross-border commuter’ between abstract and objective painting. Susanne Lubach works in all techniques. The step towards abstract painting is particularly attractive for her because she is particularly interested in the influence of the objective on key elements.
